Fringe Jazz Fest 2019 poster is ready

Headliners this year is the legendary Hot 8 Brass Band directly from the streets of New Orleans, Jamison Ross (Snarky Puppy, Jon Cleary), Patrick Dorgan, Jørgen Klubien (Danseorkestret), Brass Band Battle, Emil De Waal+ Old News and all female trad.jazz band, Shake 'em Up Jazz Band.
Experience A Tribe Called Gumbolia - 3 Mardi Gras Indians from New Orleans lead by Eric Burt at the last day of the festival saturday July 13th with members of Jazz Five, DR Big Band, Michael Watson and Steve Masakowski. The danish soul sensation Miss Melissa & Her Soul Knights will support.

It's is gonna be a blast when more than 30 concerts, workshops, street parade, brass band battle and other events are taking place in Pumpehuset and Byhaven July 5 - 13 2019.

Headliners this year are main acts from New Orleans: Hot 8 Brass Band, Jamison Ross, Michael Watson, Tricia Boutté, Sasha Masakowski and Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band. And don't miss out the three Mardi Gras Indians "A Tribe Called Gumbolia", who do several of shows.

Main Danish acts like Emil De Waal, Nulle, Randi Laubek, Esben Just, Jazz Five, Al Agami, Linda Andrews, Patrick Dorgan, Mads Mathias, Mattias Heise and Jørgen Klubien will also perform.

Hot 8 Brass Band headlines Fringe Jazz Fest 2019

For over 20 years Hot 8 Brass Band has been one of the most popular and visible funk-style brass bands in community parades and funerals in New Orleans. The band has toured around the world, released loads of albums and will now visit Fringe Jazz Fest at Pumpehuset. July 11th will be one night to remember!

About JBL Music

JBL Music presents the BEST of young funky New Orleans music from Denmark and New Orleans. The company is promoting a handfull of bands and international artist and is also organizing some of the BIGGEST New Orleans music events in Copenhagen
There is a wave of young Danish bands inspired by the new sounds from New Orleans. FUNKY brass band, Mardi Gras indian music and 2nd line grooves are now a big part of the Danish jazz scene and JBL Music is presenting some of the best bands in Denmark playing these styles and organizes MAIN events in Copenhagen related to this style of music.
JBL Music is run by musicians and jazz entrepreneur and organizer Johan Bylling Lang. He was born 1981 in Denmark and started playing music as 13 years old and graduated as Cand. musicae and saxophonist and music teacher 2008 from Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium (RMC) in Copenhagen. While making a living as musician in various bands, Johan Bylling Lang also puts alot of love and energy into organizing events.
