Fringe Jazz Fest 2019 presents first two artist

Biggest New Orleans event in Copenhagen has just released first two names for this years festival July 5-13 at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen.

Jamison Ross is a New Orleans based grammy nominated vocalist and drummer that delivers messages of humanity through the medium of jazz. His unique soulfull voice and extraordinary skills as a drummer have brought him all over the world playing with Snarky Puppy, Jon Cleary and own groups. His 2015 debut release, Jamison, introduced the world to his concept of rhythm and melody and also garnered a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album. His sophomore release, All For One, takes listeners a level deeper into Jamison’s ethos. The album is a result of a personal revelation that “we all have the capacity to love with empathy in a deeper way.” Jamison plays July 12th 9pm.

Denmarks very own master of the groove, Emil De Waal presents July 7th an allstar band Old News incl. Danish legends like Nulle, Randi Laubek og Band Ane. Don’t miss out this interesting crossover show with the best of Danish Jazz. Concert takes place sunday July 7th at 8pm.

Fringe Jazz Fests smaller sister releases full music program

Fringe Jazz Fests smaller sister, New Orleans New Year Jazz Fest #7 January 11-12 2019 is now ready with full program. The festival is a nice gumbo of best of Danish New Orleans inspired music with jazz, streetfunk, blues and soul played by the best bands in Denmark like Wonderbrazz, Ida Nielsen, Al Agami, Jazz Five, Nellie Ettison and Brassflavour. In addition to that Michael Watson from New Orleans.

JBL Music presents the BEST of young funky New Orleans music from Denmark and New Orleans. The company is promoting a handfull of bands and international artist and is also organizing some of the BIGGEST New Orleans music events in Copenhagen
There is a wave of young Danish bands inspired by the new sounds from New Orleans. FUNKY brass band, Mardi Gras indian music and 2nd line grooves are now a big part of the Danish jazz scene and JBL Music is presenting some of the best bands in Denmark playing these styles and organizes MAIN events in Copenhagen related to this style of music.
JBL Music is run by musicians and jazz entrepreneur and organizer Johan Bylling Lang. He was born 1981 in Denmark and started playing music as 13 years old and graduated as Cand. musicae and saxophonist and music teacher 2008 from Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium (RMC) in Copenhagen. While making a living as musician in various bands, Johan Bylling Lang also puts alot of love and energy into organizing events.
